Can Anybody Advise Me What Food Or Drink To Buy For Gathering?

I am going to attend friend gathering this coming weekend. Each one of us must bring at least 1 kind of food or drink to the gathering. Some of them had decided to bring pastries, home make drinks, home make jellies and breads.
I am headache on thinking what should i buy with budget less than US$10. Can anyone advise me on that?
