We have become a whiny, impatient country of opportunists. We live like millionaires compared to other countries. It’s time to reset our way of thinking and cut out the over indulgence. It’s obvious with so many Obese people you see these days on TV news and anywhere you go. America is beginning to think they are the normal ones.

Whine whine whine, blah blah blah. Oh my! its another great depression! lol, people in this Country are ridiculous. They are sheep and blindly following an alarmist that has over created a problem that DOES exist, but is nowhere near the proportions he claims. Likening this to the Great Depression is akin to mental retardation. 99% of this country wasn’t alive during it, which means unless you’ve studied it in depth, 99% of you have no idea what it was like. Its easy to scare people with numbers, go get some real facts and you’ll find this is more comparable to the 1984 recession then anything, and guess what, it isn’t even as bad as that was! In the great depression 90% of automakers shut down, unemployment rose to 25%, the list goes on and on. what are we at, 3% of automakers and 7% unemployment?
Look, the economy sucks right now, we go through recessions every 25 years or so. If the damn Fed would leave people alone and stop spending our money FOR US…we wouldn’t be in this problem now and we’d get out of it a lot faster then we will. Remember it was the FED that forced those ridiculous loans on us, that forced interest rates down, that forced brokers and banks to loan money to people that have no business getting those loans…when all of that collapsed, so did we! Want to know the REAL difference between the Great Depression and now? PLASTIC. stop paying bills with credit cards, stop paying loans off with new loans…stop charging everything. you aren’t Rockefeller and neither am I. If you work at McDonalds, don’t have five damn kids. It isn’t my job to pay your way through life. Live within your means. You know what really makes me sick? raiding a house where known gang activity takes place. In the middle of the Projects, and upon entering see the 60 inch plasma screen tv, the 5,000 dollar couches, the rolexes and diamond jewelry, and this month’s welfare check sitting on the table.
Get off your ***, pay attention in school, go to college, join the military, work two jobs, do whatever it takes, but stop putting your hand out for freebies everytime you have a little bad luck.
I agree. I think its a time to step back and look at the big picture of what us Americans are really doing. We don’t realize how good we have it and I think something like this would be kind of good for us to really appreciate what we have. We tend to get selfish and think only for ourselves. Its crazy to think that like in China, during the innaguration they showed schools of little kids watching in amazement, and i thought, i have never seen something important like this in another country. It just proves that we think we are they greatest, which i would like to think we do live in a great country, but it really proves how selfish we have been. We have the most resources and supplies and it seems that we need to share more, and cut the indulgence. I agree 100%!!
