You’re still in the military, but it is easier to “escape” from the military lifestyle on weekends. Of course it depends on your job, and whether you work M-F, or if you’re a Shift Worker.
Like all other branches in the military, you are on-call 24 hours, and you’re called to higher standards of conduct than civillians, the entire time you are in the Air Force.
You still deploy, and serve your country. If you’re considering it because the stigma that it is the “easier” branch of the military, maybe rethink your logic. It may not the most physically exerting branch, but you definetally will be serving your country and sacrificing a lot of your time, and believe me, Air Force members are out in the dessert, in the middle of the war, just like the rest of the services.

Air force lifestyle is closer to civilian lifestyle than it is to the rest of the branches, and you know what, i’m not slamming them!
