Is It Child Abuse To Force Kids To Learn About Alternative Lifestyles And Global Warming In Elementary School?

You get ONE childhood.
Should you be forced to learn about alternative lifestyles (they are doing this in CA) and global warming (yesterday’s Investors Business Daily article)?
We didn’t learn about such things as children. I don’t want my kids knowing that stuff.
Procreation – fine
Ecology and recycling – fine

I agree with you that teaching “alternative” lifestyles at school is over the top.
I went to a public university for a visit a few weeks ago on business. In a hallway at the student union building there must have been 20 fresh finely produced professional posters of encouragement for youth, education, etc.
All had images, photos, of young people with various captions.
Not one, not one, poster contained a picture of a white male, not ONE. I counted. There were 63 people pictured in all there.
It was a “mainstream mid western university.
It has gone too far, and, I lean Democratic!
