It is said that a little of what you fancy does you good and this does tend to be true. Here are five tips for a healthy (yet enjoyable!) lifestyle:<br />
1.	Eat a balanced diet<br />
A balanced diet does not have to be a boring diet. As long as you are getting adequate proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and fats, that slice of chocolate cake you&#8217;re craving shouldn&#8217;t do you too much harm. Enjoy your meals, chew your food properly and eat a variety of foods, including five portions of fruit or vegetables a day. Too much processed food or sugary food can make you feel sluggish.<br />
2.	Drink more water<br />
Water is such a basic requirement and so key to survival, yet ninety percent of us don&#8217;t drink enough! Six to eight cups a day is the recommended minimum. We can live for several weeks without food but only a few days without water. If you don&#8217;t like the taste, mix it with juice, sugar-free cordial or make hot fruit tea. Vegetables and fruit contain plenty of water too. If your urine is darker in color than straw, drink more water!<br />
3.	Take time out to relax<br />
Relaxation is very important to a healthy mind. However you choose to relax &#8211; deep breathing, yoga, fishing, having a bath, reading a book &#8211; try to chill out for an hour a day if you can. Mental exhaustion can cause stress, depression and anxiety disorders. Modern lifestyles can be hectic &#8211; if you&#8217;re not working, you&#8217;re running after the kids or racing around the grocery store or doing something else. Relax! Breathe deeply. Even fifteen minutes of this is better than none, but do try for an hour a day.<br />
4.	Get moving!<br />
There is no excuse not to exercise because there literally is something for everyone. Not everybody loves pounding the treadmill or pumping iron in the gym but anything that gets your heart rate up is a good cardiovascular activity. How about playing tennis, meeting a friend for a swimming session or taking up self-defense or a martial art? If you can&#8217;t think of anything better, run up and down the stairs a few times. Feeling better now? Exercise releases endorphins, which cheer you up.<br />
5.	Cut down on smoking and drinking<br />
Have you ever met a smoker who is glad they started smoking? Neither have I. It is the single most destructive thing you can do to your body. Drinking can be harmful if you consume alcohol in excess or binge drink but, like most things, moderation is the key. A glass of red wine has even been proven to be good for the heart. But too much can be devastating to your health. </p>

<p>Diet &#8211; lets face it with out this you probably will not be as successful loosing weight as you would like. If you eat smaller portions at more times through out the day would be the best for you allowing your body to burn each and every meal you eat rather then storing it for later or turning it to fat. It is hard to keep track of all this but once you start doing it you will find it gets easier and easier. Lets face it losing weight and keeping it off is a life changing job that you have to work at and you will see great results if you add our next subject we will talk about. </p>
<p>Exercise &#8211; This is the hardest to keep faithful to. It is the hardest to start and the hardest to do when you just don’t want to do it. When you first start exercising you will be sore in the days following but you need to work through it and pretty soon it will not hurt anymore. First start a walking program 1 to 2 miles a day or 20 to 30 minutes a day. Do what you can handle maybe it is more than that. Then get yourself some 1 to 5 pound dumbbells and start doing regular exercise routines which we won’t go in to detail now but you can look up any routine on the internet and pick one that you think will work for you. You can loose weight with out exercising but that doesn’t mean that you are living healthy. Exercising helps your muscles be loose and tone. Sweating helps get rid of the toxins in your body that could cause cancers. Exercising also helps your heart, the most important muscle in your body, exercising helps keep your blood vessels open and clear. As you get older, if you do not exercise in some way your body starts to deteriorate faster. You can’t stop the aging but you will feel better and will be able to do the things you like. To keep up with both dieting and exercising you have to take control of the one thing that will make you quit both if you don’t master this next topic. </p>
<p>Your will &#8211; If you can control this you will be successful. Your will is what tells you that you don’t feel like doing this today or this candy bar won’t hurt me today. Then before you know it your week is filled with not exercising and as many candy bars and fast food as you can eat. To take control of your will you have to find ways to keep you focused like posting positive notes around your house or work. There is many different ways to keep your will focused. Once you train your mind to get rid of all the negativity that stops you from exercising and dieting the easier you find it is to change to a healthier lifestyle. Try posting pictures of you when you started your program that you choose. Then start posting pictures of yourself after you have been on your program for a month or two. The whole idea here is to keep everything positive and get rid of all the negative. When you start seeing all the results it will be easy to do all three steps to a healthy lifestyle. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Fresh air, sunshine, healthy food and water are the essential things that we need in order to live a healthy lifestyle. So I have list top 10 things to achieve a healthy lifestyle. </p>
<p>1. FRESH AIR &#8211; Oxygen, feeds, nourishes us. Make our lives count for the future and our blue-green Planet&#8217;s pure air. Walk gently, breathe in now, full, deep, strong, long. Breath in fully to get oxygen, nourish and cleanse. Exhale long and deep, let go of toxins, old emotions, and all being held onto. Let go. Let go&#8230; Fear slows the breath. Renew commitment to inhale deeply, exhale long. Hold. Do it again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again&#8230; </p>
<p>2. SUNSHINE &#8211; Plants take in sunlight and so do we. Get outdoors, take off glasses, don&#8217;t overdo it. Call it Yummy &#8211; when it&#8217;s Sunny &#8211; smile, play and dance in the light&#8230; Sunshine&#8217;s full spectrum of natural daylight stimulates our pineal and pituitary glands to rev up the metabolism, makes it churn and burn. Did someone convince us sunshine is dangerous? Even shady, full spectrum natural daylight helps us be healthy and vibrant; go &#8211; no glasses, outdoors. </p>
<p>3. WATER &#8211; Drink in the cleanest, most alive water you can find. (Would you take a bath in fruit juice, soda or beer? Yukk!) Carry your own bottle! Fill. Drink. Repeat. Would you take a bath in diet soda? Hope not. Cells love water; like a flooding stream, it carries the silt out to the sea. Get your own bottle! We&#8217;re 78% water. Wow. You&#8217;d think water needs to refresh itself at a cellular level pretty darn often. Get your own bottle. Cleanse, refresh. </p>
<p>4. MOVEMENT &#8211; Life is Movement / Movement is Life. Dance, sing, play, walk, run, skip, ride, hike, ski, sail&#8230; how many more can you think of??? Being sedentary is like inertia. Hard to get going again, but once you do, don&#8217;t stop. Find a way to move: walk the dog, stretch, dance, play catch&#8230; It can be gentle and slow or it can be fast and quick. The body needs movement to circulate its life force, to get out the toxins, to assimilate. </p>
<p>5. PREDOMINANTLY VEGAN DIET &#8211; We do not have carnivore teeth. Our long intestinal loves fibrous plant food; be lean and nourished into good health with *vegan foods, grow younger. Our digestive system was made for high fiber fruits, vegetables and grains. Once we clean out the residue from old habits, our tastes change. To his great surprise, Dr. Max Gerson, while pursuing a cure for migraines in the 1950s, discovered that a mostly vegan diet cured cancer! </p>
<p>6. EAT AT LEAST 50% LIVING, RAW FOOD &#8211; Turn your yard into a garden -grow non-gmo seeds, buy organic, safely pick wild, sprout. Know where your food comes from &#8211; be a thriver, not just a survivor! First 7 days sprouted foods have more enzymes and life force than anything else. You&#8217;ll be amazed at how good eating them makes you feel! Living foods are different than raw foods. For instance lettuce is a mature raw food. Sprouted seeds are living. Eat &#8216;em both for Life! </p>
<p>7. ORGANIC WHOLE FOODS &#8211; Clear your grocery list of all but Whole foods. How much is left? &#8220;No whites&#8221; is a good start; whole means NO processing. Get really radical, go &#8220;cold turkey&#8221;! Whole means just like it grew or is growing. Organic means no pesticides and living soil. Hunger disappears when we eat food w/real nutrient value. Every time food gets processed it loses something: vitamins, minerals, life force. If you want to get really radical go organic/natural- feel the difference! </p>
<p>8. LIMIT ANIMAL PROTEIN TO 7% MAX &#8211; The landmark book, China Study shows ALL, ALL Degenerative Conditions are either Eliminated or Reversed with a maximum of 7% animal foods in the diet. For 35 yr. China Study found elimination and reversal of every degenerative condition (including obesity) with a veggie diet max 7% animal food. The China Study concluded all degenerative conditions could either be eliminated or reversed with a maximum of 7% animal protein in the diet. </p>
<p>9. MODERATION &#8211; EAT SMALL QUANTITIES &#8211; We live in an age of &#8220;too much&#8221;. Learn to love being hungry and have less: 3 small meals/day, 5 hrs. between, 12 hrs. empty at night, body purrrrzzzzz&#8230; Let the body know we&#8217;re not in starvation: eat 3 moderate meals/day with 5 hrs. btwn.; 12 hrs. empty stomach at night; green shake for Breakfast. Mastering Leptin tells us there&#8217;s a chronic state of inflammation in the body when we overeat; eat small &#8211; rest between, to gradually shift this. </p>
<p>10. MORE GRATTITUDE / LESS ATTITUDE &#8211; These things initiate healing at the deepest levels of our being, and radiate forth into the world as our &#8220;radio signal&#8221;. Know our creative power. Emotions generate the energy surrounding and coming to us. Love yourself just as you are. Soon everything will melt away, but love. Get help to release old emotions conscious and otherwise. Trust yourself to find Love in all things, to be fully evolving towards Wholeness. </p>

<p>Living a natural and healthy lifestyle begins with routine-habits.  These habits help create a strong immune system therefore avoiding a lot of discomfort and disease.  A lack of discomfort and disease makes a happier and more contented life.  A natural, chemical free lifestyle is uncomplicated; works well in harmony with your body assuring you of a strong immune system, and therefore developing a life filled with much strength , energy and relaxation.  Sound good?  I know which I would prefer.</p>
<p>In our western society we are known for depending on prescribed chemical medicinal cures rather than turning our ways to the original natural earth related cures we were supposed to use in the first place.  Chemical and synthetic drugs do in many cases cure the problem but the side effects that follow or involve them can be worse than the disease itself.  I know I have experienced that very thing.  I am now more inclined to suggest to prevent illness or disease by a strong and armored body, built up by the right diet and necessary food supplements.</p>
<p>By living the natural way things are simplified, clear and self explained.  It makes sense.  They build up the bodily functions and in most cases don&#8217;t have or have little side effects.  If these side effects occur they are normally mild and easily treated by changing to another natural option that better suits the situation.</p>
<p>For example, my granddaughter who is 5 years old, like all children can get excited around sleep time.  Instead of choosing a medicine to calm her down her mother simply puts a few dabs of lavender on her tissue to inhale while putting her down to sleep.  This is very effective and very natural, not causing any side effects or chemical complications.</p>
<p>If you have never encountered or tried to go natural you are probably asking &#8230;</p>
<p>What is a Natural Lifestyle?</p>
<p>To put it simply, you are not only treating an ailment but at the same time introducing natural healthy nutrition which at the same time is  building your immune system to fight whatever you have wrong with you.  So you are safeguarding and curing at the same time.  The safeguarding naturally is also helping to prevent any more oncoming illnesses which otherwise may have occurred.</p>
<p>I have and will always stress that your mind, body and soul control the functions of your wellbeing.  Therefore not only should you have a strong body, but also a positive mind (attitude in life) and a positive Godly soul. If your attitude is positive through a trauma in life it is going to promote a quicker and stronger healing process than not.</p>
<p>When I experienced Breast Cancer 10 years ago I chose to-Beat It! &#8211; With a strong, positive attitude.  I could have chosen to be miserable and continually feel sorry for myself.  That I assure you would only have made the task a whole lot harder and unhappier.</p>
<p>To compliment all the above, a daily exercise is essential-walking is great; whatever you choose to do is a great benefit.  You only need a minimum of 30 minutes a day, longer is up to you.  Also the habit of relaxation is very helpful to settle or deal with any anxieties, as these can prevent your system from working as it should.  Stress is not a bad thing.  We all have it and some more than others  </p>

1. Bone Density<br />
After age thirty or so, you very slowly, over time start to lose bone density. This process can lead to brittle bones and osteoporosis. The more load bearing exercise you perform before age thirty, the stronger your bones will be. And performing load-bearing exercise later in life will help maintain bone density. Load bearing exercises can be things like weight lifting, jogging, and stair climbing.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When it comes to dieting, far too many people set themselves up for failure before they even begin the process. They literally dread going on their diets and before they start the process are planning their mishaps along the way. Sad to say but true, far too many would be dieters are planning their first Rocky Road mishap while eating their last bowl of Rocky Road before the big event.<br />
I have no idea why we tend to do this to ourselves but it is something I see in dieters everywhere. The far too popular notion is that one must binge on the foods most loved and enjoyed before beginning the dieting process because these things must be completely eliminated in order to shed those unwanted pounds. If you are honest with yourself, nothing could be further from the truth. Moderation is simply a concept that many of us are loathe to embrace.<br />
You must change your way of thinking about food and your personal enjoyment of food in order for any diet you embrace to be successful. Food isn&#8217;t the enemy. And that is something that not enough people really understand. Even the &#8216;bad&#8217; foods aren&#8217;t the enemy. The enemy is inability to eat proper portion sizes and the vast majority of you eat the wrong foods far more often than we eat the right foods.<br />
Portion control is a big problem in the US. We live in a society of &#8220;up selling&#8221;. Super sized fries and empty calories by the gallon in your favorite cola are offered with almost every fast food meal that can be bought. You can still make healthy fast food choices, but you have to watch your portion sizes, and make informed choices when you order.<br />
To be &#8220;successful&#8221; on a diet, you really need to make it way of life, instead of a &#8220;diet&#8221;, which conotates a short term solution. This short term solution thinking is what leads to yo-yo dieting. You lose eat right and exercise for a while, then when you get to the weight you want to be you go back to your old habits, and gain the weight back.<br />
Don&#8217;t make your diet so rigid that you abstain from all your favorite foods. Depriving yourself will only make you &#8220;break the rules&#8221; of your diet. This kind of deprivation diet will also lead you to not get back on the program as quickly. It is recommended to incorporate &#8220;cheat&#8221; meals into your diet. These are planned meals or treats that are not as healthy as you could eat. You can add more cheat meals in the beginning of your lifestyle change and as you get more used to choosing healthier options you can decrease your &#8220;cheats&#8221;. Don&#8217;t ever completely take them out of your diet, because it&#8217;s good to have enjoyable foods and fun times with your friends involving food.<br />
Dieting for weight loss and health is only depriving if you allow it to be. If you have difficulty with overindulging having planned &#8220;cheats&#8221; can help you stick with a new lifestyle plan. Learning to incorporate treats, even smart fast food choices, into your routine in moderation should help you find happiness with a new lifestyle of healthier eating and exercise. </p>
