Automatically Start Up A Motherboard Without No Power Switch?

Firsty i am a pc tech so basic talk isnt required.
Im currently building a media centre computer into a cable digital box.
Im not able at the moment to connect up a power switch so im wondering if it is possible to power up the computer as soon as power reachs the motherboard from the psu.
I was thinking, the psu has a power switch on it, so what if i can turn the computer on by using that switch.
So i want to be able to turn my computer on as soon as the psu is powered up. So the motherboard doesnt require a switch on the front of the case.
I have some hard drive jumper switchs, can they be used?
Thanks

You’re a PC Tech? The power supply switch just makes it that the computer can turn on. You need a switch plugged into the mother board to power it up.

It would harm your computer to do that. “Closing” a switch is fine on boot-up when the power is applied. But upon closing “shutting down” the switch would have to be in the open position. Even on the old toggle switch computers…the computer prompts the user “it is now safe to turn off your computer” Something like this might help you.http://www.remotepowerswitch.com/
