All Vista Sidebar Gadgets that you download from the Internet, are saved to Downloads Folder under your Personal Folder.
You can access it from Start Menu - Top Right Folder (this is your personal folder, open it up). Now, you find a no. of folders within it. Just go to Downloads folder & check out your new gadgets. Double click any of them, and they get stuck to Windows Sidebar.
