He is in the Air Force. Does anyone know what might happen to him. He stays out of trouble, he said that his mind just went blank. I am worried for him. Please help! He needs to talk to his instructor and see if a study group or tutoring is available, and he needs to really put forth effort to learn this stuff. Bear in mind he doesn't have to get perfect scores to pass, just 70%. Even if he gets "washed back," it's not the end of the world. He just has to sit through the material again and test on it again...it's not a punishment, it's a second chance. If he continues to fail future tests, and his instructors believe he is really trying but just not getting it, he'll probably be reassigned to a different AFSC (the Air Force doesn't have MOSs). If they believe his problem is attitude, not aptitude, and that he's just not making any effort, only then will they consider discharge. Panic isn't going to help, just focus and hard work.
