one out of a zillion theories. I think human life has been devalued and children don’t get the attention in the home that they need and this is a very bad start. They end up not valuing their own life if their parents can’t sacrifice enough to be good parents, which is so often the case now. People are selfish and want what they want. In the old days, parents were devoted to their children and knew how important their job of parenting was, to teach them right and wrong. I also HATE video games where they are constantly doing violence.

With 7 seconds left of play, the other team had possession the score was tied. My check had the ball; I was on defense. I had been trash- talking her a fair bit throughout the game, but not excessively or anything more than what is normal or usual. She tried a couple fakes to get by me and get the ball up, but I blocked her shot and told her “C’mon! You think I’m going to let that sh*t get by me?” as I took the ball down the other side and sunk it in for two. So now we’re 2 points up with 3 seconds left on the clock.
And then the ref doesn’t count the basket, and gives me a tech! What the hell?! For swearing/ trash- talking? Isn’t that unreasonable?
My check ended up making her ft, and my teammate missed a desperation shot with 2 seconds left on the clock. We lost. And I’m so f’cking mad! Are refs allowed to do that?

Do Online Tech Reps Really Know What They Are Talking About?

My computer crashed a couple of weeks ago. I borrowed a laptop and chatted with 2 Dell reps. They talked me through testing and told me to buy a new hard drive and the data is lost forever. I used the Best Answer to reboot it and was able to back up my files. I’m using that “dead” computer right now. I think they just wanted to sell me a hard drive. Has this happened to anybody else? By the way, thanks to Roy for the best answer.

Well, that depends, but I think the gainer in the company not the consumer because the company is able to pay lower wages and benefits. I wish the techs would stop saying, “We apologize for your inconvenience” about 1 million times. It’s a little strange, too, that there are Tiffanys and Scotts in India.

Don’t get me wrong it was horrible event, but the press is beating a dead horse. I can’t even watch a V-tech football game without being annoyed because the announcers are constantly talking about the massacre. I understand we need remember the people lost, but to cry and mope about it non-stop doesn’t do any good. Personally I believe all the attention school shootings get by the press, has created a hysteria in which crazy kids think they can out do the last shooter. They commit these acts to become celebrities.
